| Katrin Sieg is an Associate Professor jointly affiliated with the BMW Center for German and European Studies and the German Department at Georgetown University. Her areas of expertise are contemporary German theater and performance, feminist and queer theory, and postcolonial and critical race studies. She is the author of Exiles, Eccentrics, Activists: Women in Contemporary German Theatre (1994) and Ethnic Drag: Performing Race, Nation, Sexuality in West Germany (2002), which won two prestigious Theater Studies awards. At present, she is working on a book tentatively entitled Women in the Fortress Europe: German Culture and Feminist Critiques of Globalization. |
