Queer Jewish Weddings is a world premiere performance that explores cultural, historical, emotional, and political aspects of queer Jewish culture. The show features beautiful, daring and challenging musical pieces, images, juggling, object routines and monologues, including material from authentic oral histories. Among the artists performing are Frank London and singer Lorin Sklamberg, both founding members of the Klezmatics, the most accomplished klezmer band in the world, renowned Yiddish vocalist Adrienne Cooper, and Marilyn Lerner, an award-winning Canadian jazz pianist. Sara Felder, solo theater artist, playwright and professional juggler, and pioneer of queer Jewish theater, will turn these musical pieces into a performance event, incorporating her own highly original juggling routines into this fascinating exploration of a growing, yet little known aspect of Jewish culture.
